Healing Qigong Workshop to Benefit Inspire Children Foundation be held May 27, 2014

Life with Books 4th Annual Cocktail Fundraiser to be held November 8, 2013

Life with Books Annual Showcase Reception is the Tree House Books premier fundraising and networking event. Each year, they celebrate community creativity by showcasing some of the best literary and artistic works of their community programs. Tree House BooksThe event is always a night filled with good food, great performances by some of the Tree House kids, and community building. The 4th Annual Cocktail Fundraiser will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at WHYY Studios.

Giving Tree Families Spring Giving Event

Don't miss the The Giving Tree Families 2nd Annual "Spring Giving Event", on Saturday April 27, 2013. Families and kids of all ages are invited to come and have fun while also making a contribution to worthwhile causes. There are more than 8 projects to choose from including the creation of Food Baskets for families in transition, Flower Pots and Hugs and Smiles Cards for senior citizens and Birthday Bash Bags for area food pantries. Please come join the Inspire Children Foundation board members who will be there wrapping cereal boxes for young volunteers to transform into “Peace & Smiles Boxes”, which will be filled with goodies, artistically decorated and delivered to pediatric patients and other children in need of a smile.

Giving Tree Families 'Working Hands Project

Don't miss the The Giving Tree Families 3rd Annual "Working Hands Project", on November 10, 2012. Families and kids of all ages are invited to come and have fun while also making a contribution to worthwhile causes. There are more than 10 projects to choose from including the creation of Clothing Bundles for the homeless, Flower Pots with Kisses for the elderly and Sandwich Making for local soup kitchens. Please come join the Inspire Children Foundation board members who will be there wrapping cereal boxes for young volunteers to transform into “Peace & Smiles Boxes”, which will be filled with goodies, artistically decorated and delivered to pediatric patients and other children in need of a smile.

Life is Good Playmaker Training

The Life is Good Kids Foundation is holding its first Philadelphia Playmaker training/retreat on August 6 & 7, 2011. This innovative program is for teachers who work with children ages of 3 and 6 who live in poverty and/or have experienced the trauma of violence, loss or illness. Playmakers will learn how to use the power of joyful play to heal and strengthen the children in their care. 2010 Helping Kids Holiday Fundraiser

Family Play Day benefit festival Enjoy the spirit of the season and help make the life of a frightened child merry again. All donations to this online holiday fundraiser will be used to sponsor the Life is Good Playmaker training, an innovative program that shows teachers how to implement the power of play to heal traumatized children.

Special Event: "Family Play Day" Benefit Festival to Help Kids in Need

Join the Inspire Children Foundation at our Family Play Day, Saturday September 11, 2010 from 2PM to 5PM at the Abington Friends Early Childhood Program, 520 Meetinghouse Road, Jenkintown, PA 19046.

100% of all proceeds will be used to sponsor the first Philadelphia Project Joy Playmaker Training for teachers who serve our community's most vulnerable children.

Family Play Day benefit festival Our day will include fun activities and interactive music performances with Two of a Kind, Peter Moses and "Mr. Dave" Consono, who delight audiences of all ages with songs, puppets and stories that invite audience participation.

 
Additional activities will include: magic and circus arts, a special reading dog, face painting and art making, chair massage, raffle prizes, silent auction and more!

Come play so they can play!

When: Rescheduled due to weather to Friday, February 12, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where: Tavern 17, 220 South 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103 (next to the Warwick Hotel). There is parking across the street or reduced-rate parking with validation at Park America, located behind the hotel on Chancellor Street. Get directions from your location.

Why: To benefit the Inspire Children Foundation, whose mission is to help children whose lives have been impacted by poverty, loss or trama.

Cost: $45 at the door (cash or check preferred) or $40 if paid online before February 9, 2010.
